Standing Committees

Finance & Administration Committee

Committee Chair: Steve Noble, Village of Northfield

The Committee is responsible for establishing Academy accounting and budgeting policies and procedures. Committee members also oversee the preparation of the annual budget and the annual financial report, and establish all insurance limits, personnel policies, and procurement guidelines. The Committee meeting schedule is available upon request.

Fire/EMS Training Committee

Committee Chair: James Dominik, Village of Wilmette

The Committee is responsible for identifying, researching, and making recommendations related to the management and operation of fire, EMS, E.S.D.A., special rescue, recovery and mitigation activities to meet regional and individual fire service training needs. The Committee meets quarterly on the NIPSTA Campus on the following dates:

March 8, 2012 @ 10:30 a.m.	September 6, 2012 @ 10:30 a.m.
June 7, 2012 @ 10:30 a.m.	December 6, 2012 @ 10:30 a.m.

Police/Law Enforcement Training Committee

Committee Chair: Mark Erickson, Village of Morton Grove

The Committee is responsible for identifying, researching, and making recommendations related to police functions, management, special operations, E.S.D.A., tactical needs, and community-oriented policing to meet the training needs of police departments individually and collectively. The Committee meets quarterly on the NIPSTA Campus on the following dates:

January 19, 2012 @ 12:30 p.m.	July 12, 2012 @ 10:00 a.m.
April 12, 2012 @ 12:30 p.m.	October 11, 2012 @ 10:00 a.m.

Public Works Training Committee

Committee Chair: David Mau, Village of Glencoe

The Committee is responsible for identifying, researching, and making recommendations related to water, sewer, streets, and other training needs for associated municipal services.  The Committee meets quarterly on the NIPSTA Campus on the following dates:

February 8, 2012 @ 8:30 a.m.	August 8, 2012 @ 8:30 a.m.
May 9, 2012 @ 8:30 a.m.	November 7, 2012 @ 8:30 a.m.

Private Industry Training Committee

Committee Chair: Vacant

The Committee is responsible for identifying, researching, and making recommendations associated with assistance to or from local governments to or from the private sector in order to develop mutually beneficial training programs and activities. The Committee meeting schedule is available upon request.

Facilities & Grounds Committee

Committee Chair: Wayne Globerger, Village of Glenview

The Committee is responsible for overseeing the management of all facilities, equipment, and grounds, including the development of plans and specifications for construction of the Academy. The Committee meets quarterly on the NIPSTA Campus on the following dates:

February 16, 2012 @ 2:00 p.m.	August 23, 2012 @ 2:00 p.m.
May 24, 2012 @ 2:00 p.m.	November 15, 2012 @ 2:00 p.m.
