Firefighter Rehabilitation – A Guide to NFPA 1584
Presented by Masimo Corporation, with support from the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC), this tuition-free, three–hour comprehensive program provides the knowledge to establish and administer firefighter rehabilitation according to NFPA 1584 standards. Firefighter rehab has been identified as a critical to managing the health and safety of firefighters and reducing line-of-duty injuries and deaths.

NIPSTA announces a training program specifically designed to meet the needs of supervisory-level officials who have direct contact with the press. “Media Relations for Department Directors” is a one-day session that addresses the “rules of engagement” and offers valuable interview skills that can be put into practice – before it’s too late!

ICS & All-Hazards Position-Specific Training
NIPSTA is pleased to offer more training in the Incident Command System (ICS), as well as All-Hazards Position-Specific programming. These sessions will be delivered tuition-free every month next year at a variety of suburban locations. This ensures that the training is affordable and accessible for emergency responders who seek certification in these federally-authorized curricula. Participants will gain essential knowledge of the Incident Command System and become competent in the eight Command & General Staff and Unit Leader positions.
