This four-day, State-certified Hazardous Materials - Operations Level program provides firefighters with the basic skills needed to evaluate and work defensively at an incident involving the release of hazardous materials.
Course Objectives:
Learning basic hazards and risk-assessment techniques
Selecting and using proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
Performing basic control, containment and confinement operations
Understanding various types of CBRNE and WMD events
Following standard operating guidelines and termination procedures

Hazardous Materials - Awareness Level
