This course will meet all technician level requirements of NFPA 1006 and 1670 with the exception of high-lines, and will prepare students for emergency response to the scene of high-angle rope rescue incident. Training topics include safety, equipment, rappelling, belays, anchors, high-angle rescues, ascending, lead climbing, and litter tending in a vertical environment and during multiple vertical training evolutions. Written and practical skills testing will be conducted at the conclusion of this course.
Students are required to provide their own equipment:
Helmet, class 3 harness, and work boots & gloves appropriate for rope exercises.
