High Angle Arborist (Tree) Rescue is a collaborative project between the Illinois Arborist Association (IAA) and Elevated Safety LLC. This 16-hour program is designed to provide operations level skills to all participants. Participants will become prepared for emergency response to high-angle arborist rescue incidents. Training topics include arborist equipment, tree anchoring, tree climbing, work positioning, arborist rescue techniques. These subjects will be addressed in a classroom environment and during multiple vertical training evolutions. Practical skills testing will be conducted at the conclusion of this course, but state certification is not available.
Student requirements: Helmet, class 3 harness, work boots, safety glasses, rope rescue glasses
Program prerequisites: Vertical II or Rope Rescue Technician Level
