NIPSTA presents this new interactive training program to help ensure that all law enforcement vehicle operators use proper driving skills, which in turn, reduces the frequency and severity of vehicle-related accidents.  Real-life experiences are available on state-of-the-art driving simulators, providing participants with training that could not be replicated on the road.

This one-day program is complemented by classroom presentations that enable drivers to practice multiple high-risk tasks, such as driving through severe weather, maneuvering through traffic, and proceeding through dangerous intersections while responding emergency situations.

The NIPSTA Driver Simulators feature high-resolution graphics on large-screen plasma displays.  Training is reality-based on a varied collection of instructional scenarios.  The system also provides instant feedback about student actions and decision-making, thereby improving accountability and on-the-job performance.
