Public Works Driver Training Sells Out -
New Dates Added
With the warmer weather upon us, public works departments remain active on the roads. NIPSTA offers a training curriculum to ensure the safety of department personnel, and the residents they serve. This instruction is intended to enhance driving skills by combining classroom education with practical exercises. Program success is measured on a pass/fail basis and requires student proficiency on a written exam and in simulations on the NIPSTA Driver Training Pad.
In response to the high demand for this training, new programs have been scheduled in order to provide as many opportunities as possible for improvement of on-the-job performance. Driving activities are intense, but performed in a safe environment at controlled speeds. Departments that participate in this comprehensive, proactive program will reduce their accident rates and liabilities.
